Croc by Sprinta is designed and manufactured in Australia, by an Australian family-owned business that has been making automatic pool cleaners for over 25 years. We design all our own components and build every pool cleaner from the ground up. We’ve literally hand raised every Croc by Sprinta.

Unlike other geared pool cleaners, it is engineered in such a way that sand and dirt can’t damage or jam the gears. The straight through design of the turbine ensures Croc by Sprinta doesn’t choke on leaves, stones or twigs. It is made from high quality plastics that can withstand years of exposure to the harsh Australian sun and pool chemicals.
Why don’t I need a vacuum gauge?
Aussies are laid back creatures. They don’t want to waste precious leisure time fiddling with vacuum settings, so we designed Croc by Sprinta to automatically regulate vacuum pressure for optimum performance. The opening skim valve is your sign that the perfect level of vacuum is being achieved. We use the excess vacuum to efficiently skim the surface. You really can relax when there’s a Croc in your pool.
Where do you manufacture the
Croc by Sprinta?
Croc by Sprinta is Aussie made and manufactured at our factory in Perth, Western Australia. Perth is the most isolated city in the world, so there’s not a lot there to distract us from pouring all our time and passion into creating the perfect pool cleaner.
Does the Croc by Sprinta make any noise?
Like its namesake, the Croc by Sprinta is a completely silent, ruthlessly efficient hunter that sneaks up on pool debris unawares. If anything, we’ve improved on nature; a Croc by Sprinta doesn’t thrash about and make a ruckus when it feeds.

Croc by Sprinta is way too smart to get caught out by such crude traps. Its pivoting flexible hose connector and intelligent gearing system enable it to steer its way out of the stickiest of situations. It is an unstoppable, ‘unstickable’ hunter in any shaped pool.
What was the design philosophy

A good automatic pool cleaner is all about reducing your work.. Croc by Sprinta is plug and play – simply put it in your pool and it can stay there year round. All you have to do is empty your skimmer basket when it is full. That means less blockages, less settings, less adjustments and no heavy cleaners to lift in and out of the pool.
How reliable is the Croc?
The Croc by Sprinta is designed from the ground up to resist damage from sand, which is the most common reason geared cleaners jam or break down. The gears and bearings are fully enclosed and protected from sand.
How powerful is the Croc?
Due to its efficient and lightweight design, the Croc uses very little suction to move and steer the unit. This leaves lots of suction to pick up sand and leaves.
Do you make your own hose?
Yes, we do. Our hose is made in our facility in Western Australia and designed to complement our cleaners. It it is fine pitched for better flexibility, but keeps its smooth large bore for more efficient water flow. This efficient water flow is one of the reasons Croc by Sprinta can work at such low vacuum. We aim to sell you a system not just a pool cleaner.
Can Croc by Sprinta work with variable speed pumps?
Yes, the Croc by Sprinta requires less vacuum than other pool cleaners. To discover the optimal level of vacuum, simply adjust your pump to the lowest speed until the skim-valve just starts to open. It can run on lower vacuum but review our manual for more information.
Does Croc by Sprinta climb the walls?
Yes, to a limited degree. We designed the Croc by Sprinta to spend most of its time hunting along the bottom of your pool, where the sand and leaves lurk.
